Great boutique style hotel that is excellent value for money.

Brilliant big rooms that were well air conditioned and nice and dark! Great buffet breakfast . Close (10 min walk) to Geiger Beach for surf. Quietish and small compared to some of the beach front hotels that are a little out of control. Short walk to restaurants and shops. Pool is perfect for relaxing around with a reasonable cocktail happy hour at the bar.

Some of the staff around the pool are pretty reluctant to serve food / drinks.

We spent two nights in the room with pool access and we loved every second of it! The whole hotel was nicely maintained,

pool area is wonderful and the staff were amazing

Very nice quiet accommodation near shops and eating places. Cushions on pool beds please :)

Large room and outdoor eating and lounging around the pool area. Very accommodating staff Great extensive breakfast.

Bed and pillows are a bit hard. Also may we suggest the pool lounges have foam cushion mats to rest on as the cane lounges are very hard to lie on.

Good value for money

It is a very nice hotel with a private beach, which you can reach by shuttle. The swimming pools in the middle of the vacinity are clean, nice and good to use. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is very nice.

Everything you can ask for!

Everything, the pool area, the food was excellent, the room comfortable, the staff very friendly and efficient.

Is not stroller friendly there are stairs only and there was no ventilation in the bathroom

Great Hotel for perfect vacation!

Size of room and bed was superb! All the furniture were new. View from balcony is majestic. Territory near the swimming pool is very green that makes you feel cool and you do not feel heat and humidity. Mosquito spray was done every evening in all rooms. Bus Facility to private hotel beach.

Breakfast menu was ordinary. Many lizards in balcony at night making sounds.

Awesome

Everything was perfect. We had a pool access room. On entering it smelled fresh and clean. Staff were wonderful. Pool access was heaven sent. Clean except the step into the pool was slippery and mossy which was quite dangerous we didn’t use it as had to walk around to get into our room. Needs urgent replacing but besides that a beautiful resort. Short 5 minute walk into the Main Street with shopping and restaurants. 15 minute walk into Bali collection or about $5-$7 taxi ride depending how good you are at bartering. Buffet breakfast was lovely and meals we’re reasonably priced if you wanted to eat in. Would highly recommend The Grand Bali Nusa Dua :)

Lovely retreat in Nusa Dua

Staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. Building and rooms are absolutely lovely and well laid out.

Suggestions: Breakfast: would have liked jamu and something sweet like bubur sumsum on offer, as well as a later closing time than 10am. Gym: water dispenser would have been great.

Grand Bali Nusa Dua

Resort is in Balinese style, older but very pretty resort with large rooms. Bed was really large and comfortable. Breakfast had a good range and was good. Staff were always helpful and friendly. The spa was great, had massages there a few times. Position was good, just a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants. You can get daily free transport in the morning to Kuta and two hourly to the beach. The beach shuttle will drop you at Bali collection if you ask and you can grab a taxi back cheaply. We loved staying at The Grand Bali and will definitely be back. The staff were all fantastic, everybody was helpful and friendly.

Coffee was a struggle at breakfast as cups were small and machine made very strong coffee. You can order lattes or cappuccino at breakfast (at extra cost of around Au$5 each) but nobody told us this (we found out on the 2nd last morning). Sachet and mugs would have been really helpful. Also only 2 sachets of Nescafé and 2 sachets of sugar left in rooms each day, nowhere near enough for 2 people, plus no fresh milk is supplied to room (only powdered milk sachets) and when attempted to order coffee (latte) off room service menu we were told no coffee was available via room service. We solved this ok by buying coffee, sugar and mugs ourselves to use in the room but think it’s worth noting for other guests. Spa was good but was quite expensive apart from when specials were offered (watch for these on the resort tv channel). We didn’t learn till our final day that we could get dropped at Bali collection by the hotel beach shuttle and had been booking taxis until then so information about this in room would have been helpful.

The staff are very friendly as Bali staff are always. The pool was great. Nice big rooms. And loved the shuttle to kuta and beach club. The beach club was great.

The bed was very hard. For a less expensive hotel the drinks were expensive, $15 plus taxes a cocktail with no happy hour. If they had a happy hour more people would hang around and create atmosphere.

It was an amazing experience in this hotel. Loved everything about it, it has this special Balinese vibe. My room got upgraded to 1 bedroom villa, so I mean wow, had the best relaxing days in Bali. Thank you to the staff for taking this great care of me.

A more relaxed and cozy hotel in the nusa dua area

The best thing was the size of the hotel. Large enough for good amenities but small enough to feel cozy and relaxing. The hanging greenery and tropical plants and paths helped the feeling of being in a tropical location. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast which had great selections and differed everyday, even though it was not up to the standards we experienced elsewhere. And the coffee which was from machine and pretty poor. The location was good. The beaches and main market weren't all that close but certainly walkable. There is a free shuttle every hour anyway if you prefer. The beaches are ok but nothing special (compared . There are some nice local warungs nearby (we really enjoyed warung Bule and Suzy), and plenty of shops. If you want a nice coffee or cake then just head to Pause coffee just opposite the Grand Bali entrance. I am not a shopper at all but the Bali collection shopping centre is certainly worth a visit. A nice vibe with plenty of nice restaurants amid the shops.. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Bali and would stay again. A great choice in Nusa Dua..

The coffee the coffee the coffee. And the gym. Two treadmills - one doesn't work. One bike which is ok. One cross trainer which is rather old and clunky. The free-weights are 3 sets of plastic dumbbells all too light to be of any real use other than just about keeping the corners of your towel down in a gentle breeze. There is 1 mat and 1 small stability ball. That is your fitness centre. One pull up bar, a bench and another mat would make a huge difference (hope the management are reading this).
